dated for 1873, with 33in. sighted barrel, block and blade front-sight, ladder rear-sight, various ordnance inspectors stamps to breech, plain receiver marked with a crown device over 'V.R.' and signed 'ENFIELD 1873' together with the Roman numeral 'I', phosphur bronze hinge-pin, walnut three-quarter stock with iron furniture, 'Enfield' trademark stamp to right hand side of butt together with a large number '17', chequered heel-plate, original steel ramrod and complete with its original leather sling numbered '17' (fair amount of original finish throughout)
